September 22, 2006 Simi Valley, CA – - Poly-Tainer, Inc., one of the West Coast’s largest independently-owned blow molders, will be opening a new manufacturing facility in Greenwood, Indiana. The Greenwood plant, which is expected to open in November 2006 and is located 15 minutes south of Indianapolis, will be Poly-Tainer’s third manufacturing facility in addition to its two existing plants in Simi Valley, California. The 35-year old manufacturer currently offers extrusion blow molding, injection stretch blow molding, injection molding and silk screen decoration in California. It plans on duplicating these capabilities in Indiana plus adding new value-added services. The company primarily serves the health and beauty sector but also manufactures containers for food, automotive, industrial and pharmaceutical applications. “Realizing that more than 40% of our customer base is located outside of California, it was inevitable that we needed to diversify out of state. We were drawn to the Indianapolis area for its centralized location, dynamic workforce and manufacturing-friendly environment,” said Paul Strong, Poly-Tainer’s founder and president. “Our recent entry into the PET bottle market has really taken us from regional molder to national supplier status. Our ability to take a project from CAD design to molding to decoration allows our customers a true turnkey solution. We believe this foundation, which has proved itself successful in California, will enjoy enormous success in the Midwest.” Poly-Tainer currently operates more than 40 molding machines and five automatic silk screening lines in California and will be both purchasing and re-locating equipment for its Indiana facility.
